Web 2.0 Final Project Proposal

IDT516 Web 2.0 Final Project

The theme of my final project will consist of using and searching multiple social medias to find content, but to post that content into a Twitter account.

The learner will need to establish a Twitter account and become familiar with where the TRENDING TOPICS appear and how to use them as HASHTAGS (#) in a TWEET (post). Because traditional reading can become redundant and lose the learner's attention, I'd like the learner to search for PICTURES, ECARDS, MEMES, GIFS, and VIDEOS relating to IDT and education on social media like Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and SnapChat. Picture and video content are encouraged, however, short articles and lists from social media like BuzzFeed or Huffington Post will be accepted. Other social medias outside of this list will also be accepted. The pictures and videos found will need to be posted as a TWEET in the learner's Twitter account. A caption must be included using one or more TRENDING TOPIC HASHTAGS. It would also be nice to TAG other members and accounts by adding their account name (@insertusername) in the caption.

This will be an exercise in:
Creativity and Inclusion (Incorporating HASHTAGS, hyperlinks or copy/pasting, and other TWITTER member users)
Searching/Researching content online (Finding pictures, e-cards, memes, gifs, videos, etc.)
Navigating social medias (posing in one and searching in others).

I believe you understand and retain information better when you are interested in it. Learning should be fun and this should be fun!
